LFS

LFS, or Live for speed is a online racing simulator. LFS is great mainly becase it allows the racing of road cars of sensible performance against other people. The fact that these car are not too fast allows racing to be close. Several of my friends play the game online with me and there is a strong community built up around the game. Try the official site here where you can download a demo (3 cars and one track) or buy a liscense for the full game (£24). The best cars in my opinion are the two LX cars which are copies of the Lotus 7 - of which of course I am building a real replica.

S2 is the latest version and has added new cars and tracks. I have not had a great deal of time to play with it yet - as most of my online racing time has gone to GPL in the last year. After Christmas, LXRA will be back online and I shall be racing again.
