1988 Ford Sierra 1.8GL

My first road car, named the 'Beige Magnet' after its alleged beigeness. I wanted a big RWD car when I passed my test and this is what I ended up with. Couldn't get my dad to see the need for the 2.0l so got a 1.8 sapphire. £350 changed hands and i was mobile (ish). The car had no boot lock when it came, and several bits didn't work properly. It was soon taxed and insured and I started to commute to Sixth-form in it.

The car was good fun to drive, reasonable performance and of course the ability to get the back end out on wet corners. The car went fine for a while apert from some welding work in the boot for an MOT and a new door. It even went ot uni for a few months...
